About
Christine, a qualified IBCLC Lactation Consultant and an Endorsed Midwife, founded Milk Joy. She has gained experience in public and private hospitals, midwifery group practices, and sleep and settling residential programs. Through her journey, Christine has concentrated on lactation, discovering her passion for supporting and nurturing breastfeeding mothers and their babies.

Milk Joy is dedicated to providing lactation and midwifery support to women from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and age groups. Its goal is to empower women to nourish and parent their children in ways that align with their personal choices, ultimately strengthening families and communities. Medicare rebates are available for services provided within six weeks and six days after childbirth.Initial Postnatal Lactation Consultation:In-home, face-to-face consultations support and guide women and their families through a range of lactation issues. I begin by reviewing your lactation journey to understand your concerns. We'll work together to develop a sustainable, personalised plan that aligns with your goals.Initial Consultation:
$245 for 90 to 120 minutes.
The rebate is $162.60, out-of-pocket cost is $82.40Follow-up Postnatal Lactation Consultation:Since the journey can evolve, I offer follow-up consultations if you'd like ongoing lactation support and care.Follow-up Consultation:
$195 for 90 minutes.
The rebate is $162.60, out-of-pocket cost is $32.40Antenatal ConsultationsAntenatal Consultations:In-home, face-to-face antenatal lactation and midwifery consultations support women expecting their first child or those how had previous births. I review your pregnancy and lactation history, address any concerns or questions, and talk about what to expect in the first 3 days and the first few weeks after birth, including breastfeeding, hormones, infant behaviour, and community resources.Antenatal Consultation:
$195 for 90 minutes
The rebate is $110.55, out-of-pocket cost is $84.45Telehealth ConsultationsTelehealth consultation:
$120 for 40-60 minutesA Telehealth link will be sent via email before the consultation.Medicare rebate is available for consultations within the first 6 weeks post birth
